In March of 2017 Shadow of Vesuvius was founded in Napoli, Italy by bassist Roberto Bellatalla of the Blue Notes/Louis Maholo, Stefano Costanzo (Solo avant garde drummer/Cadaver Mike) and saxophonist Vinnie Paternostro (Steve MacKay and the Radon Ensemble/Arthur Doyle Electro Acoustic Ensemble) during a European tour of Paternostro’s Total System Failure project.
The band decided to take a name that reflected their Italian heritage and chose to name the group after the ominous volcano that looms over Napoli like a sleeping giant, to be awoken without warning.
Shadow of Vesuvius is as explosive as any of the rebel free jazz from which it draws, with a touch of punk style, and a droning alien Moog Mother 32 as an electronic tambura. They released a limited print cassette called “The Language of Old” on the U.S. net label MuteAnt Sounds.
The band will perform some limited engagements in Italy Sept of 2018. They will be joined this time by a special guest - the Parisian “Musique Concrete” guitarist Michel Kristof, who shares 4 releases as a duo with Paternostro as well as the band United Slaves, all on the MuteAnt Sounds and Improvising Beings labels.

CRAVE: Eerie, vicious, hypnotic; a dimly lit room in a seedy motel nestled in a bleak and bizarre American alterna-verse; an unfinished game of connect-the-dots.
PERFUME is the solo project of Matthew James (1994), a Los Angeles based artist and musician. Perfume blends poppy synth hooks with primitive lo-fi drum beats and snarling guitars to create songs that meld genres from aggressive post punk and dark synth pop to minimal house and experimental. Often paired with mesmerizing visuals projected over him, the live performance is expressive, engaging and not to be missed.

TRANS UPPER EGYPT:
Rising from a 4 years hiatus, The East Rome’s TRANS UPPER EGYPT finally strikes back with a new LP, following up the two previous albums, both on the Austin based MONOFONUS PRESS.
After a few line up changes, Simne Donadni (Rainbow Island) definitely joins the band with his avant primitive drumming, beside the former members Bob Junior (Holiday Inn / Bobsleigh Baby) and Leo Non (WoW!). These new tracks, recorded near Turin in the Farm / Studio owned by Boto (Movie Star Junkies / oAxAcA) bring a pretty clear evolution in their sound, without any changes to their attitude: hypnotic trance Songs assembled with a mix of primal Kraut and psych vibes, repetitive Dub bass and Afro beats, acid Synth lines and roared mantras repeated by a blurred enchanting voice.
It comes with a cover made by Matteo Pozzi (Cacao) in a limited edition of 200 copies,
co-released by No=fi Recordings and My Own Private Records.
GRIP CASINO:
"The idea of the record is to cover Residents' album "The King & Eye", which consisted of songs made famous by Elvis Presley. Essentially, this project is a covers record of covers songs, entirely replayed and reworked in a unique way."

La serata si aprirà con un ospite d'onore. Direttamente dalle pendici del Vesuvio senza giacca e cravatta, SÃO: progetto televisivo, NO-MELODICO: come per la NÃO-WAVE brasiliana: l'unica cosa a non mancare sarà il sax.
Ospite d'onore, direttamente dalla amata Bologna e dal Collettivo HMCF, già conosciuto come frontman della band hardcore-punk Batièn, Franek Windy. Presenterà il suo nuovo disco “DA QUI ESCE UN SUONO BELLISSIMO”.
Per l'occasione sarà imbandito un tradizionale buffet e un tavolo merch ricco di produzioni della nota etichetta punk-tuscolana All Ways Wrong
